What to Expect

     Dr. Heidi Hemmett recently returned to Madison, WI in the fall of 2019.  She has three dogs, Roxie, Cash, and Blue Arrow.  Cash receives regular acupuncture treatments for her hip dysplasia and spinal arthritis.

     Dr. Hemmett first learned about acupuncture in 2000 when her brother treated her with this modality.  She learned more about acupuncture and spinal manipulation during her fourth year of veterinary school in 2008, in Madison, WI.

     She received her acupuncture training and certification through the Chi Institute in Florida and has been treating patients since the fall of 2015 (see pictures below).

     Dr. Hemmett successfully completed the 226-hour post-graduate certification course in VSMT (Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy) at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center (HOWC) in Wisconsin in 2017 and the 142-hour post-grad certification course in VMRT (Veterinary Massage and Rehab Therapy) at the HOWC.    

     Dr. Hemmett is thrilled to provide acupuncture and spinal manipulation for pets in Madison, WI and the contiguous towns by house call.
